Ukraine Estimates Agricultural Sector Losses Due to Export Issues Exceeding $3 Billion

Ukrainian farmers are facing overflowing storage facilities and a decline in purchasing activity due to the effective blockade of some Black Sea routes. According to Reuters, about 90% of Ukrainian agricultural exports typically rely on sea ports, and grain exports in the first half of August fell by approximately 75-76% year-on-year.
Against this backdrop, industry estimates suggest losses could exceed $3 billion if normal export routes are not restored. Alternatives via the Danube and rail remain limited in capacity.
This news relates to the market question, "Will Ukraine restore a full grain corridor by September 30?" It does not reiterate our previous publications regarding the peace proposal, Russia's position, or the route through Moldova — the focus here is specifically on economic damage and the physical shortage of export capacities.
